CS110 EFM communication issues

jarlu Jan 13, 2017 08:27 PM

Hi

I have a network of about 30 CS110s that communicate via RF to a base station that in turn sends the data to loggernet via the internet. The data flow for a given EFM is as follows:

1) CS110/CR1000

2) CS i/o cable

3) RF500M radio modem

4) SC-12

5) Ritron RF321

6) Cable

7) Antenna

8) RF Base Station

9) internet

10) Loggernet PC

A couple of months ago one of the CS110s stopped communicating.  Upon inspection, the CSI/O cable had been chewed by rodents.  The following have been attempted/confirmed with no success of getting the CS110 back online:

Replace CSI/O cable, confirm data at CS110, confirm data at SC-12, confirm RF500M and RF321 settings, confirm CS110 settings, replace RF321, replace RF500M, Replace SC-12, confirm supply voltage, confirm RF321 power output at antenna using 13855 with an Agilent V3500A, replace antenna, confirmed strength of signal at RF Base station using 13855 and agilent fieldfox RF analyzer, replace CS110.

After each change, communication was re-enabled via the Setup screen but data was never received.  I am at a loss when it comes to appropriate next steps.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
