No line of site! How I use the Router function in the RF422

Hubi Mar 25, 2017 11:39 PM

Hello,

I want to connect two RF422 modules two CR6 loggers. Unfortunately, I have no line of sight and would like to redirect over a third RF422 the connection, which I have configured as a router. Both CR6 loggers with RF422 have LOS to the third RF422 module. How do I set the individual modules?

Many thanks,

In your case the router settings will be in the datalogger.

On the CR6 that will be the router, set the IsRouter setting to True. The setting is seen on the Advanced tab of the datalogger settings.

You also should set a beacon interval on the router datalogger. You need to know which comport the radio is using. The default is SDC7. So, I would set Beacon Interval ComSDC7 to 60 on that CR6.

Consider using the Network Planner https://www.campbellsci.com/videos?video=16
