KWh example

Makada Sep 19, 2017 08:02 PM

As above,  can someone provide an crbasic example to have the kwh calculated from a pyranometer (cm3)?

Take insolation rate in kW divided by scans/hour, then use Totalize in your table.

Example for a 5 second scan rate:

(3600 seconds/hour)/(5 seconds/scan) = 720 scans/hour

Solar_kWh = Solar_kW/720

Thanks for the fast response.

Im using w/m2 at a 1second rate, am i right 1000w/m2 is 1kw?

(3600 seconds/hour)/(1second/scan)=3600 scans/hour.

Solar_kWh=Solar_kW/3600

1000 Watts = 1 Kilowatt

You need to divide by 3,600,000 to get kWh

...but the m2 in w/m2 doesnt do anything?

100 w/m2 = 0.1kW =  0.0000277778 kWh yes ?
