I'd like to confirm that one way data hole collection will still work even if scheduled collection is disabled. Is this true?

If you are speaking of disabling only the scheduled collection setting for the station, then hole collection WILL happen independently. There are other ways for scheduled collection to become disabled, however. For instance, if you click on the "Pause Schedule" checkbox in the status monitor, this will not only disable scheduled collection but will also disable all other automated processes such as scheduled clock check as well as hole collection. Likewise, disabling communication for the station or its parents will disable bothe scheduled collection as well as all other automated processes.
