22238是基于微控制器的智能型充电保护器,带两步常电压充电和温度补偿功能,优化电池充电并增加电池的使用寿命。两路输入端子可以接入两个充电电源。最大功率点跟踪算法被纳入太阳能输入以最大程度地利用可用的太阳能充电电源。RS-232和SDI-12端子能够让22238把充电参数传给数据采集器。
22238具有用来保护充电电源、电池、充电保护器和负载设备的几个安全特征。SOLAR – G和CHARGE – CHARGE输入端子都集成限流保护硬件和极性反转保护。
自动防故障的可自动复位的热保险保护CHARGE – CHARGE输入免于灾难性的AC/AC或AC/DC充电电源故障。另一个可自动复位的热保险保护12 V输出端子免于输出负载故障事件的影响。
22238还有电池反接保护功能,以及在全部输入和输出端子上都含有ESD和浪涌防护单元。
