CR310 - udpdate website fail

coralie May 19, 2022 07:06 AM

Hello,

I have a CR310 (last OS firmware upgraded few days ago, version 10.06) connected to a 3G modem.

The http web page of the CR310 does not update with the status information on the main web page.

In the utilities menu, web site update page shows the current version of the default web site is 1.0.

Latest version is 2.01.

I tried to update the default website several time but it failed "failed to start update process".

However, the CR310 is connected to the modem, the internet connexion works well.

Do you have a solution?

Regards,

Coralie

the pc must be connected to the internet and it is the pc that downloads the file, in order to be able to install it and send it to the logger. The logger connected to the internet is irrelevant

The procedure is more complicated actually.

Of course, I was trying with the computer connected to the Internet but it never worked. It took me hours to find the solution and I found nothing in the manual about it.

Then, I post here the solution in case it can help oter people.

To update the default website (CR310):

-> Connect to the CR310 with Device Config Utility using the COM port (USB cable)

-> In network Services menu, enable HTTPS protocol and edit the .csipasswd

-> Create a new user (login/pwd) with access level = "all"  and uncheck "hide after save"

-> Apply

-> Disconnect Device config utility

-> Connect to the CR310 webpage locally (192.168.1.xx), computer connected to the Internet through a modem router for example

-> Go to utilities menu and then web site update. You will have to enter login/pwd of the user account created before

Hi,

I am struggling with the same problem.  The datalogger is connected via USB and Ethernet in my office with internet access.
