兼容性

The CS659 is used with the Hydrosense II soil content system only. (The CS659 is designed for use with the HS2 but not with the HS2P.) The rods of the CS659 and CS658 are not interchangeable.

  1. Can the 12 cm rods from a CS620 be used with a CS659?

    Yes. The 12 cm rods (pn 18591 or pn 10184) can be used.

  2. Can the rods for the CS658 and the CS659 be replaced?

    Yes.

  3. How long does it take to get a measurement after inserting the CS658 or CS659 probe into the ground and pressing the Read button?
    3 to 5 s.
  4. Are the different length rods interchangeable, or are both the CS658 and CS659 needed?

    Because of the thread type used for the two sensors/rods, it is physically impossible to interchange the rods.

    • The 20 cm rods used with the CS658 are not compatible with the CS659.
    • The 12 cm rods used with the CS659 are not compatible with the CS658.

    If measurements are needed for both depths, both the CS658 and CS659 must be used.
